Too much sugar intake promotes the hunger-inducing hormone Ghrelin and suppresses the appetite reduction hormone, Peptide. This condition often results in overeating and gaining excess body fat

Sugary foods often lack essential macronutrients like proteins, minerals, fats, vitamins, fibers, etc. They are also rich in empty calories which promotes excessive body fat gaining. Sugary foods have nothing to offer to your body apart from the temporary ecstasy your taste buds enjoy.

Measures To Cut Down Your Sugar Intake

  • Avoid sweetened cool drinks like sodas, and all other sorts of bottled cool drinks. 
  • Eat foods that are rich in fiber content, like fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid bakery items like chocolates, pastries, cakes, cookies, sweetened bread, etc. 
  • Read the ingredients of each packaged food and check for the amount of sugar. Food companies often hide the sugar content in the packets of their products. Food companies often add a lot of synonyms for the sugar content behind their packets, this synonym includes lactose, Glucose, sweeteners, corn sweeteners, honey, maltose, fructose, sweetened corn syrup, dextrose, malt syrup, etc.
